Mediation
Attorney Nadine A. Brown became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator in January 2010 to help divorcing couples resolve their conflicts as reasonably as possible. Mediation is an alternative dispute resolution mechanism to get parties to reduce conflict and resolve their legal matters as civilly as possible. Attorney Brown is committed to minimizing the hostility parties may exhibit going through a divorce or other family law conflict. Clients are encouraged to consider private mediation pre or post filing a family law action in circuit court to minimize the cost and animosity generated during litigation.
Parenting Coordination
Ms. Brown became a parenting coordinator in October 2014 to help parents in high conflict cases resolve their communication and parenting issues in a less adversarial environment. Parenting Coordination requires a child focused method of resolving the parenting issues that arise when parties divorce or share custody of an out of wedlock child. Each parent may have genuine concerns about the offenses and character issues the other parent presents, however, parenting coordination is a process Ms. Brown uses to help the parties learn effective methods of communication to carry out the court required parenting plan for the best interest of the child being harmed by parents who just can’t get along.
Estate Planning and Probate
Ms. Brown provides estate planning for small to modest estates. She prepares the documents necessary to assist individuals with preparing for the worst. A typical package may include not only the Last Will and Testament, but a Living Will, Durable Power of Attorney and Revocable Living Trust. In 2015 the firm began handling Probate matters involving summary and full administration of estates in Orange and Seminole County, Florida. Since 2016, the firm's probate practice has expanded to include Volusia and Duval counties where Attorney Brown assists grieving family members who have lost a loved one.
